5 Date Night Ideas in Edmonton This Weekend | October 27-29

Experience Jasper Avenue | Saturday
Come experience the revitalization of Jasper Avenue. There are tours, free hot cocoa, and coffee all day, a chili cook-off, free hot dogs, roving entertainers, trick or treating and marshmallow roasting on an open fire. Come out and enjoy a gorgeous fall day learning about the future of one of the iconic spots in Edmonton.

The Great Pumpkin Carve-Off | Sunday
Here’s the deal. The Buck loves buying pumpkins. We supply a healthy amount for everyone to participate, and want to ensure that our bar is decorated with as many Jack-O-Lanterns as possible. If you want to keep your pumpkin, please bring your own. Something new this year, we will be offering Halloween trivia while you carve away.

Audience Participation: Rocky Horror Picture Show | Saturday
Let’s do the Time Warp again! The all-time weird and wonderful cult favourite returns. The adventure begins where it always does, as newly engaged Brad and Janet encounter car trouble in rainy weather. When they stop to look for help, they find themselves at the castle of the charming transvestite, Dr. Frank-N-Furter. They’re offered shelter for the night, but will they want to stay? Audience participation is encouraged. Dress up, bring props, and sing along! Shadow cast by Edmonton’s Low Down Cheap Little Punks.

Haunted Trolley Tours | Friday
Join us for a spooky and historical ride on the High Level Bridge Trolley as we travel through the Old Strathcona area and over the High-level Bridge as the sun sets over Deadmonton. Hear the horrible history of the area and some of Old Strathcona and Edmonton’s most spooky and gruesome ghost stories. Hear about the ghosts that still wander around the Arts Barns, the Spanish Flu victims from the UofA, the ghosts from the original construction of the High-level Bridge and many more deadly tails.

Mayday Dogs | All Weekend
Catch the latest place in town to grab hot dogs and get that belly full of goodness while you’re there. It’s a concept that’s brand new, and a great addition to Mercer Hall. It’s open now and ready to serve. You can check out the menu on their Instagram page, @maydaydogs. We’re most excited for the C.R.E.A.M.
