Are you in the mood to try something new? There’s lots going on this weekend, including a 48 hour party where you can enjoy a movie marathon all night long, or check out the pop up shop. Interested in trying some new types of beer? Check out a local brewery – there are even tickets left for the Burlesque show. See what else you can do on date night this weekend, right here:
48 Hour Hello/Goodbye at Royal Alberta Museum
On the Spot Pop up and a Horror Night at the museum featuring showings from Metro Cinema all night long, make your own art and another movie marathon are a few of the late night activities that could bring you out to say hello/goodbye to the Royal Alberta Museum, but there are activities going on for forty eight hours straight this weekend.
Fish tacos and Shuffleboard at Local Sherwood
Local Sherwood Park is newly open this week, and it’s the perfect time to head in and give it a try. You’ll love the cool vibe, and the delicious $5 fish tacos. Plus, if you’re lucky, you could snag the seating area with the board games and pass a couple of hours playing games with friends.

Capital City Burlesque #HolidayFantasy
December 4 and 5 at the Citadel you can take in the Holiday Fantasy show at Capital City Burlesque. You can get tickets here – it looks like there are still some left if you want to see Santa blow off a little steam.
Friday Night Tours Yellowhead Brewery
Public tours of the Yellohwead Brewery are every Friday at 5:30, take about 30-45 minutes and include samples. The $10 fee is payable with cash only (there’s an ATM on site if you forget) and you can stop by to be part of the tour, right before it starts. After the tour, you can stick around and try something on the menu.
Servus Fridays – Ski for Free
Once a month during the winter, you can ski for free with free lift passes at Edmonton Ski Club. In addition, you can get $10 lessons and $10 rentals, making it a cost effective way to get out there and get on (or back on) skis this season.
