It’s the weekend, and date night ideas are just a little easier to swing when you don’t have to get up early the next day for work (unless you do). Here’s a bit of inspiration to get you started on planning those weekend date nights in Edmonton.
Food Trucks and Holiday Lights
There’s a Santa Clause Parade of lights this weekend, so if you want to reminisce back to your childhood you can watch the parade – or go to Churchill Square for the food. Food Trucks in the square, holiday lights, and mild-ish weather? That sounds like a recipe for fun with an excuse to head to your one of your favorite downtown hotspots to warm up when you’re finished. Also – check out the All is Bright festival on 124 Street.

Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Everest documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.
