5 Dates to go on in Edmonton This Weekend | January 5-7

High Tea at Cafe Linnea | January 7, 3pm
Our High Tea service includes an amuse bouche, a 3-tiered tea tray with savouries, pastries and petit fours, and your choice of our exclusive tea selection. Tickets are $55 per person, seatings are available at 3:00pm and 3:30pm, and are two hours long. In addition to our tea selection, we also offer a full wine & cocktail list that guests may order from during the service.

Swing ‘n’ Skate | January 7, 1pm
Jump and jive at City Hall! Local bands bring the swing with live jazz and big band music every Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 pm during January and February. The Sugar Swing dancers will be on hand to teach you a new step or two. This free event is fun for all ages! January 7 – The Emeralds

K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard, a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for those thirty years.

The Dylan Farrell Band at the Rec Room | January 6, 9:30pm
Dylan Farrell is a born guitarist whose playing displays a level, emotional maturity and a technical depth and dexterity that is truly remarkable for someone only in his mid-twenties. Originally from Minto, New Brunswick, he began his professional career playing in his father’s band in Saint John at the age of 15. Upon moving to Edmonton in 2012, he almost instantly became a fixture in the city’s thriving roots and blues scene.

The Dylan Farrell Band is now a two-time winner of the Memphis Bound Blues Challenge and will return to the iconic city in January 2018 to compete in the International Blues Challenge. While they are there, The Dylan Farrell Band will also be recording an album at Ardent Studios which has been graced by the likes of James Taylor, ZZ Top, and BB King. Meanwhile, Dylan’s debut EP, Blues Before, is set for release at the end of November.

The Markaz Youth Committee, in collaboration with Ansar Youth Association – AYA, Al-Rashid Youth Club, The Green Room, and Muslim Students’ Association – UofA has organized a Ski Night at Rabbit Hill Snow Resort on Saturday, January 6, 2018.
