It’s Valentine’s Day weekend, well – almost. That doesn’t mean it has to be all hearts and flowers, sure – there are plenty of ways to spend the weekend getting outside, if you’re into that, but you can also stay in bed and eat eclairs, that’s fun too. Here are five dates to go on this weekend in Edmonton:
Valentine’s Day Acro Yoga | Aradia Fitness
Grab your partner for this Valentine’s Day Inspired AcroYoga workshop – taught by Colin with Solid Base Acro! AcroYoga is the yoga of trust and relationships. One practices with at least one other person or in a group with the intention of working together to support each other achieving what would not be possible by oneself. The spectrum of the physical practice ranges from gentle therapeutics and supportive movements to acrobatics.
See the Bills | Arden Theatre
Canadian acoustic music super group and two-time Juno nominees, The Bills, are an extraordinary quintet of gifted multi-instrumentalists and composers. The globally inspired, Victoria-based band is renowned for their instrumental virtuosity, lush vocal arrangements, and refreshingly innovative interpretations that transcend musical boundaries and defies simple categorization. For tickets call 780-459-1542 or online through Ticketmaster

Friday Night Sweetheart Snowshoe | River Valley
Enjoy a guided snowshoe walk with your sweetheart through the natural beauty of the River Valley! The tour will be followed by hot chocolate and bannock making. Snowshoes are provided, please dress for the weather.
Eclairs in Bed | La Boule Bakery
Eclairs in bed is one of the most perfect brunch mornings that you’re going to have – and it’s not going to break the bank. Try a handful of eclaires from La Boule, and bring them home to have on hand, ready to eat in bed and do crossword puzzles together on Sunday morning. Make a relaxed, delicious, treat-laden breakfast in bed a slow morning tradition, every month.
