Inspired by food tours in Europe, Edmonton’s new Epicurean Adventure Tours are an incredible way to enjoy food – on foot! You’ll join a tour group made up of 4 to 12 people that sets out to explore a handful of popular local restaurants, sampling a menu item at each one.
Every tour has a theme, like Best Brunch, Gourmet Dessert, and Edible Flowers, with more being added to satisfy every foodie craving.
Today, we went on Edmonton’s Best Brunch Tour, sampling delicious eats from Downtown’s busiest breakfast spots. We met at the infamous Blue Plate Diner, then walked to KB & Company, skipped down to Credo Cafe, made a pit-stop at Evoilution, and ended the tour at Craft Beer Market. This “eatventure” introduced us to items we may not have ordered on our own, and they were all delicious.
At Blue Plate, we started with a savory and sweet taste of duck confit eggs benedict, topped with a creamy jalapeno hollandaise sauce. Next, we gobbled down KB & Company’s sweet oat and hempseed waffle, garnished with banana slices. After that, we were introduced to Credo’s Intelligentsia direct trade coffee. We sipped a smooth, hot latte and learned what criteria is used to define direct trade. We tried samples of oils and vinegars at Evoilution and finished our brunching at CRAFT with fresh, southern breakfast tacos topped with cilantro. Go hungry, you’ll be stuffed and satisfied.
The best part? Your tour group always skips the line.
