Every Thursday There’s an Adult Art Class at Art Gallery of Alberta
Every week the Art Gallery of Alberta features a different type of drop-in art class. From 7-9pm the adult open studio classes focus on the technical and conceptual side of art-making. The materials and tools are provided for each weeks projects which are themed around the current exhibition. The classes range from water colours, charcoal self portraits, Valentine’s Day heart shaped cards to live nude drawing.
The classes have theme each week but are not directly taught. The idea is for you to try several different concepts or styles of art. You can explore the current exhibits to grab inspiration for you project and also gain a different perspective while observing the exhibits in a different context.
