Here’s Where to Play Beach Volleyball in Edmonton this Summer

It’s starting to feel like summer in Edmonton and that’s making us want to hit up the nearest Edmonton beach volleyball court, and pick up a game with our squad.

Where to find Beach Volleyball Courts in Edmonton

Borden Park Natural Swimming Pool

The pool at Borden Park is one of the best places to cool off - and you’ll feel like left the city for a beach-y oasis. Not only are there fantastic loungers in the sand (you’ll have to arrive early to claim one of those), there are beach volleyball courts adjacent to the pool.

Lendrum Community League

There are a total of seven beach volleyball courts at Lendrum Community League. Four of the courts are lit up for evening play, into the fall. The courts can be booked for free for community league members, or for a fee for non-members.You can use the online booking calendar to find availability.

Salisbury School Volleyball Courts

In Sherwood Park at Salisbury School there is free volleyball courts near the football and baseball fields. Great parking nearby and a great place to play.

Garneau Beach Volleyball Courts

There are three courts at Garneau that are enclosed, and used weekly for league nights and on the weekend for tournaments. You can visit the website to book a calendar. The summer club is an easy to access location, and a popular spot during the summer months.

John Fry Park

There are a total of 12 beach volleyball courts at John Fry Park. It is used for weekly league nights and tournaments. You can book the courts for a fee from Volleyball Alberta.

Malmo Plains

The sand courts and equipment are available to all Malmo residents and their friends till 9:30 pm from May to October. Check the calendar for availability but Wednesday evenings and Friday to Sunday are usually reserved for drop in and organized events for Malmo community league members and residents. Courts can also be used in conjuction with a hall rental, however you are encouraged to accommodate drop in players.

Woodcroft Community League

In the summers the ice rink is turned into beach volleyball courts. Edmonton Sport and Social Club use these facilities for their league nights. You can also rent the courts by reaching out to the Community league.
