The Ice Wall at Edmonton Ski Club is OPEN for the Season (and Heres’s what you Need to Know before you Go)

You won’t need to venture to the mountains this winter to have an ice climbing adventure. The ACC at Edmonton Ski Club ice wall opens today! Level up your next date night and head outside for an ice climbing instruction course, drop-in or a way to try something new this winter.

Whether you’re an experienced climber, or you haven’t climbed before, the ACC Ice Wall is a fantastic way to get outside this winter. You can head out for a new in-the-city adventure without any experience at all.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

• There is no minimum age for ice climbing (suggested age is 10), and is based on physical limitations - but participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult (minimum age of 14 to belay).

• No prerequisites are required, there are lessons available for beginners

• The introductory ice climbing course is $49, or $19 to drop-in-climb
