The weekend is here and so is the sunshine. Nearly half way through August, you’ll find us this weekend spending as much time as we can outdoors, soaking up every last drop of that summer sunshine.

  1. Hit the North Saskatchewan for a float with Edmonton RiverFloat, or rent a paddle board and paddle down the river with Edmonton Paddleboards.

  2. Freewill Shakespeare Festival debuts this month, you can watch a performance of Twelfth Night or Romeo and Juliet as part of this year’s festival.

  3. Check out the Alberta Avenue Night Market, check out the vendors, food trucks and activations this Friday. This week they are setup near Battista’s Calzone.

  4. It’s a Drive-in Movie Night at Edmonton Garrison. Grab your date and head down to the drive-in. $20 per car and you can bring all the snack you want. There is also a concession there if you need more popcorn.

  5. The nights are getting darker earlier and we have the perfect sunset yoga class to put an end to the week. Come stretch and relax in the river valley while embracing the beautiful sunset.

  6. The Smoke House Bar and Grill is presenting House of Hush burlesque this Saturday. If you're craving glittery costumes, cocktails, glamour, and a WILD night of gin-soaked revelry – you've come to the right place!

From the Friday Night Costume Extravaganza at the Shaw Conference Centre to the Caribbean Village in Churchill Square it's going to be a lot of fun for kids and adults looking for a way to enjoy summer the Caribbean way.
