Add these Vancouver Cocktail Bars to Your Next Vancouver #datecation

Keefer Bar

Themed in an old-school medical centre, you’ll find tinctures, and concoctions worked into the expertly crafted cocktails, tucked away in China Town. Make a reservation for the spirits bar, for an incredible experience. The profiles and flavour combinations blew us away. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours trying as many cocktails on the menu as you can.

Key Party

Downtown, there’s a small, lively, 70s themed bar hidden behind an accounting office ‘front’ where we had fun, but quick, cocktails. We’re going to suggest you go early for Key Party, as it’s a very small space, and fills quickly. There are no reservations, so expect to wait in line, and if you can get in immediately, it’s a win.

Botanist

Upscale, contemporary cocktails that expertly pair with the delicious bites on the menu, plan for a dinner at Botanist to experience a whole new level of cocktails. Located in the Fairmont Pacific Rim, you’re also going to want to plan ahead and get a reservation for this hotspot.

Laowai

We were lucky enough to be in Vancouver just in time for the opening of Laowai. Another Chinatown hotspot, this one is inspired by the hot speakeasy cocktail scene in Hong Kong. It’s sleek, sexy, and located through a secret door you’ll find in BLND TGER. To get in, you’ll need to order the ‘Number 7’ and you’ll be escorted through the ‘freezer door’ to Laowai.

The Narrow Lounge

All the best places are hard to find, and you’ll have that vibe from the Narrow Lounge, on the corner of Main and 3rd. Look for the red light - that’s all we’re going to tell you. Once you’re inside, there’s a great selection of cocktails, snacks (don’t skip the truffle popcorn) and craft beer on the menu. Visit during the summer and experience the pop-up Tiki bar, The Hideaway, out back.
