Eating, Drinking and the Fairmont Gold Experience at Pacific Rim

Right in the action, Fairmont Pacific Rim is an ideal Vancouver hotel, with the iconic gold floor, gorgeous views, was a perfect home base for a late summer, early fall, trip to Vancouver.

Where to Eat and Drink in Fairmont Pacific Rim

The Fairmont Gold Experience

Spread over two floors, the Fairmont Gold experience gives you access to the Gold Lounge, where you’ll find breakfast, small snacks for lunch, canapés before dinner, and dessert, included in the room price. The team in the Gold Lounge were so accommodating that they even packed us drinks to take along to the beach, one morning after breakfast.

Let’s talk about the breakfast menu. Everything we tried was delicious, without limits to how many things on the menu you wanted to try. Open until 11, we had plenty of time to get breakfast - even after those late nights spent trying the entire menu at local cocktail bars. Options when we visited included dishes like: fruit salad, hot and cold cereals, house made granola and yogurt, brioche French toast, farm fresh eggs with bacon or sausage, omelette, and avocado or smoked salmon toast.

Lunch and pre-dinner canapés were a great way to grab something on the go, if you spent time at the hotel in the afternoon. We weren't often in the hotel for the afternoon, but when we were, the section of small plates, and bites, hit the spot.

After dinner desserts were one of our favourite parts of the day - something sweet before an evening adventure. Each day, there was a selection of three types of desserts. Our technique to try everything was to choose one of each, and share the dishes. I’m still dreaming of the passion fruit chocolate cake.

Order Poolside

The cocktails and snacks options by the pool (don’t skip the chicken wings) are a delicious way to cool off of on hot summer days. The comfortable loungers make it easy to sit by the pool for hours on end. Cabanas are available. Find the full menu, here.

Botanist

One of the most incredible meals we had the chance to experience in Vancouver, and expertly paired with cocktails, Botanist was a delicious experience. Easily one of the most aesthetic places we visited, the vibe was green, and pink, and felt comfortable, fashionable and the place to see and be seen. Don’t skip dinner at Botanist.
