Hotel Arts is your Next Poolside Destination
PoolsideYYC in Hotel Arts is your next day-time party destination. Just a few hours outside of Edmonton, and so much to discover on a weekend trip to Calgary, it’s a great summer destination and a fun escape coming into the fall, through the month of September.
Here’s what you need to know before you go:
The poolside cocktail menu can be found, here. The best bang for your buck are the pitchers of cocktails - delicious, refreshing, you can choose any of the feature cocktails as a pitcher to give you the best bang for your buck.
Reservations are a must. Without reservations, on a busy day, you won’t get a time slot to visit the pool. Note that hot weekends are reserved for hotel guests. As a hotel guest, you can call ahead of time, and reserve your spot at the pool.
You’ve got two choices when it comes to the [poolside) seating: traditional tables where you can dine, or lounging couches and chairs (some with a fire table) for the ultimate lounging experience.
Dining: Yellow Door Bistro and Rawbar give you options for dining without leaving the hotel.
Late check out: sleep in, and check out later - late check out at Hotel Arts is an additional $20
What about Hotel Arts?
Hotel Arts in Beltine (at 119 12 Ave SW) is walking distance to popular hotspots like Leopold’s, and a quick uber ride to one of our favourite Calgary speakeasy spots: Betty Lou’s Library, and popular brunch joints.
For our two-night stay, we stayed in a king-luxury room. Comfortable, and spacious, next time we’ll opt for a balcony over the pool, for a better view. The sleeping experience is comfortable, had everything we needed for a quick weekend trip to Calgary.
You’ll love: the eclectic collection of art throughout the hotel.
Fun fact: the poolside is open all year round. During the winter months, it’s actually converted into a heated, indoor pool, with an inflatable roof that covers the entire space.
